Shortly after filling fuel tank, the gauge will show empty. After driving about 50 miles the gauge will work properly.

I have the same problem. After filling the fuel gauge shows no bars, the distance to empty shows dashes and blinks, and the yellow gas pump blinks.
Did you ever figure out the problem?
